The archipelago lies just outside Gothenburg. Ferries head out from Saltholmen to the southern archipelago.
You can reach the nearest islands in just a quarter of an hour, bringing you to an idyllic car-free landscape with white wooden houses, fishermen's huts and the scent of tar. Car ferries from Hjuvik on Hisingen will take you out to the northern archipelago, nearest hotel is Scandic Backadal. From the Scandic Crown hotel you can take the tram directly to Saltholmen and the ferries to the archipelago.
