Why can I only book 1 room on the site?
This is because of restrictions in our underlying reservation system. It is under development and we hope to offer more alternatives in the future.
 
How do I use discount codes when booking online?
All discount/campaign codes are submitted in the field "Special booking code" during the first step of booking.
 
You need a special booking code that is available from the Studentkortet or Mecenat websites. The code is entered into the field "Dnumber" under the tab "Corporate rates" in the booking module during the first step of booking. The field does not accept any special characters so ensure you have not entered the Dnumber with a hyphen (-).
 
How can I book the Gift Voucher/Partner Cheque?
Click on the tab "Gift voucher" in the booking module.
 
Where do I find the Dnumber in order to get my corporate rate?
Please contact your Travel Manager/Purchase Manger, or the person who is in charge of the contract.
 
Why are there no rooms or rates available when I enter our Corporate Dnumber?
The number of rooms for your agreement has no availability. Alternatively, you have entered the Dnumber incorrectly. The field does not accept any special characters so ensure you have not entered the Dnumber with a hyphen (-).
 
How do I find the room types that do not have a supplement with, or the lowest supplement with Bonus Cheque?
Per default we only show Room and Superior on the booking details screen. To find all room types you must click on the link "Show all available rooms and rates".
 
It says on the booking detail screen that you can pay with 2 Bonus Cheques at some hotels. Is that OK? What if I only have one, what will the supplement be?
The hotels will accept two Bonus Cheques if the customer should request that. If you only have one cheque the supplement is the value of one Bonus Cheque.
 
When searching for one room for two people the "from-price" shown in the results list, is lower than the one shown later in the availability list, why is that?
The price shown in the result list is an example based on one room with single occupancy. The price shown in the next step under "Select a rate" is the available price at the time of booking. Please note that you pay in local currency, so if you book a room in Denmark the rate is calculated in Danish Krona. EUR rates are intended as a guideline only and are correct at the time of conversion, subject to currency fluctuation.
 
I can only find the room types Room and Superior but not Cabin or Suite when making a reservation, why is that?
The site shows Room and Superior as default. To find all room types you must click on the link "Show all available rooms and rates".
 
I want to book a room with a queen bed/twin bed, how do I book that?
Choose bed type on the reservation detail screen. Only the bed types shown are available.
 
I want to read detailed information about a room when making a reservation, where do I find that?
Click on the [+] sign beside the room, that will open a pop-up window. In the pop-up window there is a link to the hotel’s room description page.
 
Why do all hotels have the same room description?
All room descriptions are generic. Click on the [+] sign beside the room if you want more information about this specific room, that will open a pop-up window. In the pop-up window there is a link to the hotel’s room description page.
  
Why do I have to enter my mobile phone number when making a reservation?
The mobile phone number field is required as we offer an SMS text message service on our website. If you enter your mobile number, you can also choose to receive SMS confirmation of your reservation.
 
I am making a reservation and have entered my mobile number but it is not accepted. What am I doing wrong?
You have to select your country code from the drop down list for your mobile number to be accepted. The field doesn't accept the hyphen character (-), so if you have entered your number with a hyphen (-) this must be removed for your number to be accepted.
 
Yes, you can still book online by filling in an alternative phone number in the mobile number filed. Please note that you will not be able to receive SMS confirmation of your reservation.
Why do I need to have an e-mail address in order to make a reservation?
We need your e-mail address in order to send confirmation of your reservation to your e-mail.
 
What does the rate/booking include?
Each rate has its own specific rate description, which details exactly what is included in the price. Please ensure you check this and that you are happy with the rate you've booked.
 
Is breakfast included in the rate at all Scandic hotels?
Yes, a large buffet breakfast is always included for anyone staying overnight.
 
Why can't I book all offers online?
These offers consist of many different components, in order to give the best possible service and rate, we have chosen to sell these via telephone only.
 
Bookings are taken at the discretion of the individual hotel and are subject to availability. All special offers featured on www.scandichotels.com are discounted from the usual tariff and have a published "from price", to state that the prices quoted may not be available at all hotels. In most cases, each property can only set aside a limited number of rooms per promotion.
 
I want to make an online reservation but don't like using my credit card for web purchases. Is it possible to pay any other way?
Yes, if you make a reservation using our "Flex" rate category you do not have to pay for you booking until you arrive at the hotel. However, for reservations within the "Early" rate category, payment is required in advance. Scandic ensures that preventative measures have been taken to maintain the confidentiality and safety of our customers when booking online.
 
I have made a reservation but I need to speak to someone regarding my booking. Who do I contact?
You can contact Scandic reservations and customer service on +46(0)8 517 517 20. Alternatively you can call the hotel directly.
 
How do I know you have accepted my reservation? Will I receive confirmation?
On completion of booking you will receive a confirmation email that mirrors the information presented on the booking confirmation page. This contains full details and conditions of your booking. For future reference, always take a note of your confirmation number.
 
I have not received a confirmation e-mail of my reservation, what do I do?
You can contact the hotel directly. They can send you a new confirmation e-mail.
 
I have forgotten/lost my confirmation number, what do I do?
You can contact the hotel directly. Alternatively, contact Scandic reservation and customer service on +46(0)8 517 517 20. They will be able to provide you with your confirmation number.
