Take a train to the Heureka Finnish Science Centre!
Järvenpää is located right beside the railway, only 30 minutes by train from Helsinki. By train, you can also reach the Heureka Finnish Science Centre, popular with families, in 15 minutes. Our hotel in Järvenpää is located right next to the Järvenpää railway station.
Music throughout the summer
Järvenpää also has things to offer culture lovers. The town is known as the hometown of Jean Sibelius. This summer, visit Sibelius’ home, Ainola, the artist homes at Halosenniemi and the concerts at Järvenpää Hall.
In the summer, Järvenpää is taken over by the five-day Puistoblues (Park Blues) festival, which is one of the largest blues events in Europe. There are also things to do for the whole family at the festival.
The route along the shores of the Tuusulanjärvi lake, excellent outdoor recreation areas and two beaches maintained by the municipality, offer many different opportunities for sports activities. Riding, rowing and golf are only a few of the many activities you can do in Järvenpää.
