Hans "Hasse" Shimoda is a celebrity and entertainment journalist from Stockholm. He worked at the gossip magazines "Hänt Extra" and "Hänt i Veckan" for 27 years but is today a freelancing journalist. One of the magazines he is writing for is Aftonbladet Nöje. He also has his own blog on shimoda.se.

Riche - Birger Jarlsgatan 4, Östermalm
Without a doubt the most celebrity-crowded restaurant and bar in Sweden. You can literally not go there without seeing an A-, B- or C-celebrity. Take a drink or glass of champagne in the crowded bar and see the mood manager Anders Timell, also a famous radio host, welcome artists, sport stars and actors. Even international stars come here. A couple of years ago Christina Aguilera got drunk on vodka shots before a big concert.
Östermalmshallen - Östermalmstorg
The original food court Östermalms Saluhall was built in 1888. Now it´s being renovated and is located in a nearby temporary building. But that´s not affected its role as a celebrity hotspot. You can see legendary artist Lasse Berghagen buy lobster for the weekend, have lunch by the bar at seafood restaurant Lisa Elmqvist and look at the people passing by. You are likely to spot both one and two celebrities during lunch hours.
Strandbryggan - Strandvägskajen 27, Östermalm
During hot summer days, beautifully located Strandbryggan is a small version of trendy Saint-Tropez. Beautiful people drink rosé wine and look at each other. And where there is beautiful people, there are celebrities.
SATS Birger Jarlsgatan 6C, Stureplan/Djurgården
Before the celebrities go all in at the, in this guide, mentioned places, they often work out at SATS Stureplan. If you want to see them in trendy training outfits, this is the place to visit. If the weather is nice you can skip the gym and go for a run or powerwalk around Djurgården, a super charming spot. It´s not unlikely that you’ll bump into Princess Madeleine or Princess Sofia of Sweden.
Sandhamn Seglarhotell - Sandhamn
Far out in the Stockholm archipelago there is a beautiful island called Sandhamn. In the 70’s and 80’s this was the place to be for the legendary tennis player Björn Borg and his entourage. Today, it’s a fantastic place for a long lunch or stay at Sandhamn Seglarhotell. During the summer this is a magnet for celebrities with luxury boats. And if your celebrity spotting fails, the three-hour long boat trip is a fantastic way of explore the archipelago.
Hotell Scandic Malmen - Götgatan 49-51, Södermalm
We cannot ignore the fact that Scandic Malmen is a great place to see artists and musicians with high credibility. The big lobby bar attracts hipsters like Robyn, Andreas Kleerup and actor Stellan Skarsgård who live nearby.
