Mostly Söder Spots
Olov ”Sotarn” Tegby Frisk is a photographer and DJ, based in Stockholm. He shares with you some of his favourite places around the city. It’s a selection of cool hangouts and must-sees while visiting Stockholm. Enjoy and don’t hesitate to say hi if you see him in the crowd.
Fotografiska - Stadsgårdshamnen 22, Södermalm
Probably one of the best museums of photography in the world, ”Fotografiska” located by the water in Stadsgårdshamnen is well worth a visit. Except for world-class photo exhibitions they also have occasional live music, clubs and a first-class restaurant in the building.
Ivar Los Park - Bastugatan 26, Södermalm
This little park, with a beautiful view over the water of Riddarfjärden and downtown Stockholm, is perfect for a romantic picnic. Stay until sunset.
Trädgården - Hammarby Slussväg 2, Södermalm
Trädgården, hidden under the Skanstull bridge, is Sweden’s largest (and best, according to me) night club. Open during summer from the beginning of May, this huge adult playground is a place where you want to be. Come early for some people watching and table tennis, stay late for an epic dance floor, both outside and inside.
Humana Second Hand - Timmermansgatan 23, Södermalm
Might not look like much on the outside, but inside you will find the best selected vintage clothing. Really nice and helpful staff as well.
Indian Street Food - Drottninggatan 73 B, City Centre
My only spot outside Söder. Fancy a quick, yet delicious lunch? Indian Street Food serves various Indian dishes at a fair price.
