Smart – our approach to running hotels

Whether you're booking a hotel room or attending a meeting, there's a Scandic for you. We currently have 153 hotels in the Nordic region and Northern Europe, and over the next few years our expansion plans take in Scandinavia, Northern and Eastern Europe and Russia. Our aim is to offer you good accommodation and the same high level of service at all our hotels. We have a total of around 6,600 team members giving their all to ensure that you can recharge your batteries and get exactly what you expect out of your stay. We try to do so in an uncomplicated, relaxed and pleasant way, so that you always find a visit to a Scandic hotel to be easy, convenient and value for money.

This applies to all our guests and hotels, every day. But it also determines the way we do business. Good business sense – yes. Naturally, we need to make money. Ethical responsibility – absolutely. Serving organic food in our restaurants is just one example. Environmental consideration – always. Almost all our hotels carry the Nordic Swan ecolabel. This is all part and parcel of the fundamental values shared by everyone at Scandic, whether we’re responsible for business development or serving breakfast to our guests. These values help us to make smart decisions and feel good, as a business and as people.
