Less is more

What we and our guests, have reduced over 10 years can be translated into:

  • The energy saving amounts to enough electricity and heating for 9,000 households for one year.
  • The amount of fossil carbon dioxide saved is equivalent to driving from Stockholm to Gothenburg and back 270,000 times in a petrol-driven car.
  • We saved enough water to fill 683 Olympic swimming pools.
  • The unsorted waste saved would fill 2,770 lorries.

We are proud of our environmental work

 
Ten years of active environmental work has made its mark. Each guest staying for one night at a Scandic in 2006 released 1.5 kg less carbon dioxide, used 35 litres less water and left behind 1 kg less unsorted waste than 10 years ago. You probably contribute more towards a sustainable world when you stay with us than you do at home.
