Thousands of people visit a Scandic Hotel every single day. We have a guest appearance in their lives, as they have a guest appearance at our hotels. All these people have a story, a reason for being there. Why are they visiting? Where are they going? What happened? Stories are meant to be told. Tell us yours! Submit your story for a chance to win a weekend at Scandic Hotel 

Whether it’s a story created during a Scandic stay or a story made at a *Scandic destination, we would love for you to share it with us! For doing so, you have the chance to win a 2-night weekend (Friday-Sunday) stay at any Scandic locations! 

Here’s how to submit your story on social media: 

  1. Post a photo/video of your story on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. 
  2. Add a short caption that tells the story behind the photo. 
  3. Must use one of following hastags: #ScandicStories, #StayFeelLiveBetter 

Here’s how to submit your story via the website:

  3. Upload a photo that coincides with your story (Photo must be original.)

Entries must be submitted during the contest dates.  

Winners will be announced on the contest site ( within a month after the contest’s end date.  


5 winners a week will receive a 2-night weekend stays at any Scandic location, a total of 25 winners. In addition, entry stories may be shared on Scandic’s official channels.  
25 runner-up winners will be selected to receive a 2-night weekend stay at any Scandic location. 

  • Stays are only valid Friday-Saturday 

  • For 2 people 

  • Most likely a standard room 

  • Travel expenses not provided 


Individuals wishing to be eligible must have taken part in the contest and must have followed and accepted all contest rules. You may participate if you are 16 years of age or older, or the age required by law of participant’s country or residence. Winner(s) will be drawn at the end of the contest period.  
If contest involves receiving a prize, which is to be delivered to a participant’s home address, only participants living in a country/on a location where Scandic delivers to may participate. Contests/giveaways hosted or sponsored by Scandic are not valid in Italy due to interpretations of the current regulations by the competent ministry of Italy.  
Contests/giveaways is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal laws and regulations. 
Any information provided to Scandic by a contestant must be accurate and complete. Winners of a contest/giveaway will be notified by Scandic within 7 days from the date the contest was completed. Scandic may request a winner to provide proof of their identity, before presenting a prize. 

Selecting & informing winners 

Contributions submitted to contests will be judged on their creativity, originality and complete compliance with the rules of submission of the contest. Official Scandic social media accounts or a jury composed of Scandic marketing employees will select the winners. Once the winners have been determined, they shall be informed via email or direct message on a social media medium. Winners are required to respond within 14 days of prize notification from Scandic to submit the address for the prize to be delivered or any other information needed. Otherwise, their prize shall be forfeited. 

Prize distribution 

Prizes shall be distributed only to prize-winners. Prizes will be in the form of Scandic products and/or services such as breakfast vouchers or free night stays. These prizes are non-transferrable and may not be exchanged or redeemed for equivalent cash value. If prize includes staying at a Scandic hotel, Scandic will decide which room at the desired hotel is made available to the winners. 
Upon receipt of the winner’s response to the e-mail or message informing of their win, Scandic will automatically send the prize to the address/e-mail/social account on file, unless otherwise decided. The prize-winner is responsible for any taxation that may apply to the prize.  


Scandic reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions or terminate the Contest at any time. Scandic may or may not post notice of any changes or termination on social media or 
These Terms and Conditions are governed and construed in accordance with Swedish law.

Personal information 

Any personal data such as name, mailing address, email address, social media profile information and any other information provided with the contest entry that participants provide to Scandic, in connection to contests, will be saved by Scandic. Scandic is entitled to disclose any personal data to third parties involved in the contest, in order to provide a winner with a prize. Scandic will retain personal data for 365 days.  
As of 25 May 2018, if you are an EU citizen or resident, you have the right to request access to the personal data that we store about you. You also have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete personal data is corrected. Furthermore, you have the right, to the extent our processing is based on your consent, to at any time revoke your consent to our processing of your personal data.
