Check-in and check-out – Questions and Answers
When can I check in to the hotel?
You can check in from 14:00. If you arrive earlier, you can store your baggage in the hotel's baggage area until your room is ready. If the room has been cleaned and is ready before 14:00, you may have access to the room before then.
When do I have to check out from the hotel?
The room is yours until 12:00 on the day of your departure. If you wish to check out later than 12:00, please contact reception.

Do you want to avoid queueing at check-out? Then we have just the solution for you. Now you can check out quickly and easily online, with our self-service option.
What are the benefits of checking out online?
It is quick and easy. There is no queue. You choose when you check out yourself, for example you can settle your bill the night before. You receive your receipt by e-mail.
Can everyone check out online?
We send an invitation to everyone who registers a mobile number and/or e-mail address at check-in. Currently, we are only offering this self-service option to those who pay for their stay with a debit or credit card. In order to take advantage of this offer, you need access to a smartphone, tablet or computer.
How does check-out work?
The day before your departure (earliest 17:00) you receive an SMS text message and/or e-mail message with a link to the online check-out. There you can review your bill, add purchases from the mini-bar, update your address details and pay for your stay. After paying and choosing your check-out time, you are ready. Your receipt is sent as a PDF to your e-mail address on your departure day. If you are a member of Scandic Friends, you can save your card information on your profile, so it will be quicker next time.
Which debit/credit cards can I use?
You can pay with the same cards that can be used at reception; Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners, Dankort (Denmark) and JCB.
Why can't I use my debit/credit card?
Be careful not to use any special characters in the boxes for name and card number, e.g. (.) (,) (-) (/) (:).
How/when will I receive my receipt?
Your receipt is sent as a PDF to your e-mail address by 12:00 at the latest, on your departure day. If you have chosen to check out earlier than 12:00, for example at 08:00, the receipt will be e-mailed directly after 08:00. If you do not receive your receipt by e-mail after check-out, please contact the hotel.
What should I do if I haven't received my receipt by e-mail?
If you haven't received a receipt for your stay via e-mail, you must contact the hotel by e-mail or telephone.
What should I do with my room key?
You can leave your room key at reception or put it straight into the designated key box next to reception.
Can I check out online at all Scandic hotels?
The majority of our hotels are offering the service to check out online.
