Close by you’ll find more than 100 lakes and 10 rivers, all with great fishing attracting thousands of anglers every year. The area is rich in water, and Huldefossen waterfall just outside of Forde is worth a visit. This waterfall is a great natural attraction, and one of the most photographed waterfalls in Fjord Norway. Likholefossen waterfall is another attraction – get close to the powerful water by crossing the exhilarating steel bridge. After the bridge you can follow the Fossestien path along the protected waterway, Gaularvassdraget.
Both Norwegian and foreign tourists come to the fjords to admire the views, but also to experience a holiday filled with activities. If you want to experience the mountains up close, there’s an abundance of hiking trails, both on the mountainsides and to the glaciers. If you want to get close to the water, a kayak trip is recommended.
