Sit back in the Ruby Bar and enjoy something good to eat or drink. On Fridays, Gothenburg locals and hotel guests alike enjoy After Work drinks in the bar together, with music from the speakers provided by our DJ. You can also take the lift up to the 7th floor, where you’ll find the Roof Top Bar. During the summer months, this is Avenyn’s most beautiful terrace, with its views of Gothenburg’s rooftops and Avenyn. When autumn sets in, the bar moves indoors and transforms into a cosy living room. A conference is never far away with us. We have a floor dedicated entirely to events which can accommodate 300 people and has its very own terrace, ideal for both large and small events. If you feel you’ve had too much of a good thing or don’t want to lose your figure during your business trip, we have a relaxation suite with both gym and sauna.

Scandic Rubinen is located right on Avenyn. The bronze sculpture of Poseidon is next to the hotel, surrounded by the Gothenburg Museum of Art, City Theatre and Concert Hall. Outside the doors of the hotel, shops, restaurants and lively bars await you. Korsvägen is within walking distance of us. Universeum science centre is here, as well as the Swedish Exhibition Centre and Liseberg Amusement Park, where you might just run into one or two green rabbits. If dizzying heights and adventure aren’t for you, you can stroll from the hotel down to Nordstan with its plentiful shopping.
