Vegan porridge – a perfect start to the day

Start the day with a tasty, nutritious and absolutely perfect bowl of porridge – vegan style. At Scandic Hell, you can roll your own porridge oats, but if you don’t have your own roller you’ll find a few types of porridge oats in the supermarket. Follow our sous-chef Kim’s tips and you’re guaranteed to enjoy a great start to the day. Our chef presents honey as a topping option. We know this is not a vegan ingredient. It’s up to you whether you’d like to use honey as a topping.

  • Porridge oats 1 part
  • Oat milk 2 parts
  • A pinch of salt
  • Berries
  • Nuts

Here’s how to make it

1. Heat the porridge oats and milk while stirring and letting the oats swell
for a few minutes.

2. Add the salt at the end of the cooking time, to avoid the porridge becoming sticky.

3. Add your chosen toppings e.g. berries and nuts.

4. Enjoy your breakfast!
