How do I earn points?
You earn points by staying at one of our Scandic hotels.

How can I check how many points I have?
Log into My Profile, there you can see your available points, membership level, future and previous stays as well as expiring points.

How long do my points remain valid?
Your points are valid for at least 3 years.

How can I use my points?
You can use your points for reward nights at our Scandic hotels. You can also use your points with our partners. To see how many points you need for each hotel, read more on the page Use points.

What do I do if I've not received points for a stay?
You can register any missing points yourself

How do I earn points with Scandic's partners?
You can earn points with our partners when you stay at any of our Scandic hotels.

Membership level

How can I check my membership level?
Log into My Profile and you'll see your membership level, available points, future and previous stays as well as expiring points.

When will I be upgraded to the next membership level?
You'll automatically be upgraded once you have stayed the required number of nights. This is always counted as the number of nights stayed over the past 12 months.

For how long time does my membership level last?
Your membership level lasts for 1 year. Your membership card shows the expiry date.

I have forgotten my membership number. How do I find out what it is?

I have lost my membership card. How do I get a new one?
We don't have any cards for our 1st floor membership level. You´ll receive your benefits and points by quoting your membership number. Cards for the other member levels can be ordered online:


I have forgotten my password. How do I log in?
Create a new password by clicking "Login" in the top right corner of the screen. Choose the “Forgot your password?” link and fill in your member number. A new password will be sent to the e-mail address on your profile.

Member communications

I don’t want to receive marketing communication from Scandic Friends anymore, what should I do?
The easiest way is to unsubscribe yourself and you do this by clicking the link “Cancel news and offers” in the end of an email you have received from us. You can also contact our Member service. If you unsubscribe, you won't receive any information regarding your membership and points.

Most matters can be dealt with easily here on our website, such as ordering a new membership card, ordering a new password, registering missing points, booking reward nights and so on. What is 3D Secure?
3D Secure is a security layer for credit cards and debit card transactions developed by Visa. It was introduced as a measure to prevent fraudulent transactions. 3D Secure is offered to you as “Verified by Visa” for Visa cards, “SecureCode” for Mastercard, "J/Secure" for JCB and "SafeKey" for American Express.

Why is it safe?
With 3D Secure activated, you must pass an additional verification step in the checkout process, by entering a password or pin-code not connected to the physical cards. This means that a purchase cannot be made with a stolen card without knowing the secret password key.

As a customer, how do I sign up for 3D Secure?
Many card issuers are making it mandatory for customers to enroll to 3D Secure. Depending on issuers, this can be realized in different ways. Most banks have enrollment functionality on their internet bank sites, where customers can sign-up and enter their personal code online. Many card issuers also offer signup during the checkout process, and customers can verify their identity through a number of security questions. Some issuers require the customer to use a physical digital pass to validate the passcode.

Online payment and online checkouts works like this on Scandic´s website
Online payment and Check-out sites at Scandic are handled through a payment service provider called Nets. When you pay, you´ll be redirected to the Nets payment page to enter the card number, expiry date and cvv. If the card entered is enrolled to 3D Secure, or is forced to enroll to 3D Secure, Nets will redirect you to the respective card issuer´s website where you´ll enter your passcode. If the passcode is correct, the issuer will redirect you back to Nets, who will then redirect you back to the confirmation page on Scandic´s website.
