TERMS & CONDITIONS 

These terms and conditions apply to any contests and/or giveaways sponsored and/or hosted by Scandic. Participation in any sponsored Scandic contest/giveaway is free of charge and free of obligation to acquire or use any products or services with payment. By taking part in the contests, participants declare themselves in agreement with the rules of the contest.

Share an original photo on your Instagram feed with a short motivation on how you travel with care and live up to one of our 10 good habits! Use hashtag #itravelwithcare. Multiple entries permitted. 

Contest dates: 7 June - 18 August

  • Entries must be submitted during the contest dates
  • Winners will be contacted through Instagram or Facebook

Prizes

  • 10 people will win a 3-night stay voucher

Participation 

Individuals wishing to be eligible must have taken part in the contest and must have followed and accepted all contest rules. You may participate if you are 16 years of age or older, or the age required by law of participant’s country or residence. Winner(s) will be drawn at the end of the contest period.

If contest involves receiving a prize, which is to be delivered to a participant’s home address, only participants living in a country/on a location where Scandic delivers to may participate. Contests/giveaways hosted or sponsored by Scandic are not valid in Italy due to interpretations of the current regulations by the competent ministry of Italy.

Contests/giveaways is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal laws and regulations.

Any information provided to Scandic by a contestant must be accurate and complete. Winner(s) of a contest/giveaway will be notified by Scandic within 7 days from the date the contest/giveaway was completed. Scandic may request a winner to provide proof of their identity, before presenting a prize.

Content rights and general submission

By submitting any content such as pictures, videos, captions, texts etc., in correlation with a Scandic contest and/or giveaway, participants grant Scandic and its affiliated companies a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to edit and use the content for all marketing and advertising purposes, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, YouTube, WeChat, LinkedIn, Weibo, newsletters and www.ScandicHotels.com. This license can also be shared by Scandic and its affiliated companies to third party collaborators for the purpose of promoting products and/or services under the Scandic brand.

If a participant is under 18 years old, he/she guarantees that they have parental consent.

Furthermore, participants certify that the content submitted does not violate any rights of a third party or any law.

Selecting & informing winner(s) 

Contributions submitted to contests will be judged on their creativity, originality and complete compliance with the rules of submission of the contest. Official Scandic social media accounts or a jury composed of Scandic marketing employees, will select the winner(s). Once the winners have been determined, they shall be informed via email or direct message on a social media medium. Winners are required to respond within 14 days of prize notification from Scandic to submit the address for the prize to be delivered or any other information needed. Otherwise, their prize shall be forfeited.

Prize distribution 

Prizes shall be distributed only to prize-winners. Prizes will be in the form of Scandic products and/or services such as breakfast vouchers, free night stays, gift cards or coworking passes. These prizes are non-transferrable and may not be exchanged or redeemed for equivalent cash value. If prize includes staying at a Scandic hotel, Scandic will decide which room at the desired hotel is made available to the winner(s).

Upon receipt of the winner’s response to the e-mail or message informing of their win, Scandic will automatically send the prize to the address/e-mail/social account on file, unless otherwise decided. The prize-winner is responsible for any taxation that may apply to the prize. 

Jurisdiction 

Scandic reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions or terminate the Contest at any time. Scandic may or may not post notice of any changes or termination on social media or www.ScandicHotels.com.

These Terms and Conditions are governed and construed in accordance with Swedish law.

Personal information 

Any personal data such as name, mailing address, email address, social media profile information and any other information provided with the contest entry that participants provide to Scandic, in connection to contests, will be saved by Scandic. Scandic is entitled to disclose any personal data to third parties involved in the contest, in order to provide a winner with a prize. Scandic will retain personal data for 365 days.


As of 25 May 2018, if you are an EU citizen or resident, you have the right to request access to the personal data that we store about you. You also have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete personal data is corrected. Furthermore, you have the right, to the extent our processing is based on your consent, to at any time revoke your consent to our processing of your personal data.
