Pick a fair taxi: Oslo Taxi, Norgestaxi and Christiania Taxi are all reliable. Uber and Bolt is also available in Oslo.

Cash is not King

Cards are king. Bring your credit card – cash is rarely needed.

Freedom to Roam

Allemannsretten (the Right to Roam) lets you enjoy nature freely, as long as you respect private property and leave no trace.

Public Transport

Plan and pay for public transport with the Ruter app (covers buses, trams, metro, and ferries).

Liquor Limited

Alcohol stronger than beer is sold only at Vinmonopolet.

Tipping

Not expected but always appreciated. Rounding up is common.
