Art in the hotel in cooperation with Viva con Agua
Many unique concepts are waiting to be discovered at our Scandic Hamburg Emporio. Not only is the design inspired by the theme of 'Water', but guests are also brought closer to this essential element through the artwork. Our 29 Art Rooms and 2 Art Floors have been individually designed by German and international artists, all with their own interpretation of 'Water'. This extensive design project was carried out in cooperation with the Hamburg-based organisation Viva con Agua, which is involved in promoting access to clean drinking water, hygiene and sanitary facilities around the world.

The Millerntor Gallery, an international festival for urban art, music and culture, is held in the FC St. Pauli football stadium every year. Under the motto 'Art Creates Water', the collective sets out to raise the awareness of visitors to the exhibition about the global situation and their sustainable projects that focus on the WASH principle (Water, Art, Sanitation and Hygiene). The majority of the revenue generated by the sale of the artworks is donated by the artists to help further the work of Viva con Agua and finance future WASH projects.
