Welcome to Scandic The Mayor in the heart of Aarhus. Are you looking for a charming hotel, centrally located in the middle of a vibrant cultural town? Then this is the place for you. Our hotel is uniquely located within walking distance of Aarhus central station, Musikhuset (concert hall) and the city hall. Step through the hotel doors and you’ll find yourself close to all the exciting things that Aarhus has to offer - whether you prefer culture, architecture, shopping or gastronomic experiences. In October 2025, our hotel unveiled a brand new extension featuring 59 rooms, including three suites with private roof terraces. As part of the expansion, key public areas of the hotel were also renovated. Our hotel now offers a new breakfast restaurant overlooking Rådhusparken and a stylish bar reception in calming green tones, inspired by the hotel’s location between the lively city center and the peaceful park. Relax and enjoy the tranquillity of one of our 221 rooms, most of which are newly refurbished in a simple and modern style. After a long day in Aarhus, the bar reception, lobby and the new breakfast restaurant offer the perfect setting to relax in, with the city's vibrant life right on your doorstep.
