Plan an active and fun trip to Lillehammer and stay at one of our hotels here. Our hotels are located centrally in the city, within walking distance of both buses and trains. The alpine resorts – Hafjell, Kvitfjell, Skeikampen, Gala and Sjusjoen – are all located in the Lillehammer region and Gudbrandsdalen. The Opplandstrafikk bus which travels to Hafjell, stops right outside our hotel and departs every morning and returns in the afternoon. Together, the 5 ski resorts make up the Lillehammer Ski Resort which can be visited using the same lift pass. For the daring, don't miss a visit to Lillehammer Olympic bob and luge track, where you can test bob rafting and four-man bobsleigh.
Only one hour's drive from Hamar is Sjusjoen, which has been voted Norway's best cross-country skiing destination for several years in a row. You can enjoy using a professionally prepared 350 km trail network in the midst of incredible natural scenery. A shorter drive away you’ll find Vollkoia ski track network in Brumunddal. This network of tracks forms part of the Hedmarksvidda track network where you can choose shorter or longer trips. See trip proposals here.
Tusten starts at 100 meters above sea level and offers lifts and slopes up to 700 meters above sea level. From here, there are fantastic free skiing opportunities in Ost- and Vestfjella at 500 meters with varied and challenging free skiing terrain. Tusten has maybe Norway’s best and safest kid's ski slope. The slope is perfectly contoured for learning slalom skiing/snowboarding or for kids to improve their skiing and enjoy fun games on skis. Altogether, the ski runs descend 3,400 meters spread over 10 slopes. The long lift takes you all the way to the peak and offers you a spectacular panoramic view of Molde with its 222 mountain peaks! The facility has 4 floodlit slopes totalling 3,000 meters and is open in the evenings from Monday to Friday.
Tusten has a large ski inn that serves home-cooked food and offers ski rentals, ski school and a ski service/repair shop, as well as free parking in a large car park.
There are also excellent opportunities for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. From Tusten, there are trails that take you to Skaret and Moldemarka. For example, take a ski tour from Tusten and around Overlandsvannet lake.
Take your skiing to new heights in Narvikfjellet, one of Scandinavia's most challenging ski resorts. Families with kids, as well as beginners, can use a separate kid's lift and several adapted slopes with jumps, kid's games and snow park elements. For the more experienced alpine skier, the resort offers several technical slope s that are guaranteed to pump up anyone’s adrenaline. Narvikfjellet features one of Scandinavia's largest vertical drops enabling you to enjoy world-class off-piste skiing. The alpine facility starts in the town center at approx. 200 meters above sea level, and the ski lifts take you up to 1006 m above sea level within 10-15 minutes. End the day on a high and visit our hotel’s skybar on the 16th floor.
Vesteralen offers great opportunities to enjoy skiing against an amazing backdrop of mountains and sea. It’s still possible to find untouched areas here, giving you the chance to make the first track yourself, many days after the last snowfall.

Just the place if you want to ski in a spectacular landscape and experience world-class nature, with jagged mountain tops surrounded by blue water. Lofoten is an ideal destination for mountain trips during winter since off-piste skiing is all the rage. Stay on an idyllic private island at Scandic Svolvær or in the wild west at Scandic Leknes Lofoten. The slopes at Lofoten Alpinsenter and Kongstind Alpinsenter are open for the less daring, or for families on holiday.

Oslo's largest ski resort, Oslo Vinterpark, is not far from the center of Oslo, and if cross-country skiing is your passion, Nordmarka offers a large network of trails. The winter park offers varied challenges with a total of 18 slopes and 11 ski lifts, of which 3 are chair lifts. Oslo is the ideal destination if you are looking to combine a city getaway with winter activities.
Trondheim offers 250 kilometres of ski trails in Bymarka which is located just outside downtown Trondheim. You’ll find 6 illuminated slopes offering skiing for family outings and for serious training runs. Bring your cross-country skis with you, and head out on the ski trails crossing country fields during the day and return to enjoy culinary delights in Trondheim’s restaurant district in the evening.
