Molde is an old settlement which emerged as a trading post in the late Middle Ages. The town is located on the northern shore of the Romsdalsfjord. Molde is famous for the panoramic view of some 222 partly snow-clad peaks and is commonly called the "City of Roses" because of the roses that bloom through the summer months and on into the autumn. The area is excellent for discovering the spectacular nature and views. Don’t miss the winding Trollstigen or the waterfalls Stigfossen and Mardalsfossen.
