Artist Julia Rio created a unique look during the art project #artstayshere. Lamps and pillars in the lobby got a knitted coat and room 542 shows a unique piece of art as well.
Julia started knitting when she was 10 years old and moved on to painting just a year and a half ago. She is based in Stockholm and her drive comes from viewing the city as her living room. Julia takes her art and knitting out to the public spaces of Stockholm to bring colour to the greyness, to vent emotions and impulses quickly and for the possibility of new encounters and connections with people passing by. Julia's art will make you smile and make you think about how you can be more creative yourself!
