Representations of tragic contents are often given a certain comical twist by Kasiske. Filigree drawings of chubby birdmen show for example a dying Jimi Hendrix or the dead body of Andreas Baader. A further bird represents Liliane Bettencourt’s fund manager, who slashed his wrists at his desk at the height of the financial crisis. He has gained attention in recent times with his small realistic sculptures and continues his songbird cycle with works made in wood.
