The town offers an architecturally impressive waterfront, many inspirational museums, cozy restaurants along its beachfront promenade with views of Limfjorden – and of course the bustling atmosphere all around Jomfru Ane Gade. If you’re travelling with kids, we recommend a wild animal excursion to Aalborg Zoo or an exciting day at Jumboland play center. One of our hotels is located in the center of town, and the other hotel is only 10 minutes from downtown and just 500 meters from the sports and culture center Gigantium.
2Esbjerg is located on the west coast of Jutland in southwest Denmark. The city is the base for the country's oil industry and is the world's leading port for the shipping of offshore wind turbines. Most of the city’s sights, such as the Fisheries and Maritime Museum and Esbjerg Art Museum, are located within reasonable distance of our Scandic Olympic Hotel in Esbjerg. If you prefer shopping, you can spend hours strolling along Kongensgade, one of the longest pedestrian streets in Denmark. The Wadden Sea, located close by is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and nature holds unforgettable experiences for you here. Both on land and on water. Visit Fanø, pluck your own oysters or experience Dark Sky Park on the island of Mandø. The area is also home to one of Denmark’s best golf courses at the Esbjerg golf club.
3Herning, a conference city centrally located in Jutland, is most recognised for the Messecenter – the largest trade and conference centre in Denmark. The city offers a range of attractions well worth visiting as day trips, and there are also good opportunities to enjoy fishing, biking or golfing for travellers who like exploring the great outdoors.
3The city of Horsens is surrounded by isles, hills and valleys, and is a charming place to visit for both couples and families. Every year Horsens hosts major cultural events, including Rock in Lunden and The Crime Festival. Also worth a visit is Faengslet, the former Horsens State Prison, where music events take place all year round.
3Kolding is beautifully situated at the head of Kolding Fjord, and is the perfect destination for an active holiday. The city has a strong tradition of design, art and architecture, and the Trapholt Art Museum has put the town firmly on the map for art lovers. Koldinghus Castle and the Geographical Gardens are also popular destinations for families.

In the city centre, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés. Every summer, Roskilde Festival gathers together nearly 100,000 people for one of Europe’s biggest music festivals.
