International image and adventure house for children and adults
Nine floors and 17,700 sqm displaying Danish and international art in the heart of Aarhus. This makes the museum one of Northern Europe’s largest art museums where both children and adults can absorb a multitude of impressions. The architecture and the art is world class. Danish/Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson has contributed a permanent work of art, Your Rainbow Panorama - a 150 metre long and 3 metre wide round multicolour sculpture that hovers above the ceiling of the museum. The museum has a special children’s section where the young ones can learn more about art in unconventional ways. In the workshop department, children can get creative themselves and express their artistic sides.
