Museum Jorn - a documentation of surrealism
Museum Jorn houses more than 12,000 works of art by 450 artists. You can view about 100 of Jorn’s own works including paintings, ceramics and drawings. The collection also contains two of Jorn’s key pieces - Stalingrad and the 14 metre long tapestry, The Long Journey. Asger Jorn’s vision for the museum collection was to document surrealism and the development of this style in Europe at the same time as Jorn wanted to make this art form accessible to the general public.
