Sarah Lüdemann
Artist Sarah Lüdemann tackled the cycle 'Water creates humans, humans create art, art creates water' in superior plus room 804, and created a wonderful work of art that fills the whole room with hangings, paintings and text.
The work of Sarah Lüdemann is essentially focused on the intersection between tempting sensuality and extreme brutality, clarity and irritation. She works with video, sculpture, drawing and performance. After studying art, linguistics, psychology and philosophy at the University of Cologne, in 2010 she was selected for an influential residency with Mona Hatoum in the Fundación Marcelino Botin. She then won the South Square Trust Award that enabled her to do an MA in Art at Central Saint Martins in London, which she completed with distinction in 2011. Her latest exhibitions include Ones & Zeros (solo), HDLU, Zagreb and Fleischeslust, Museum Villa Rot, Burgrieden. For the art room at Scandic hotel, Lüdemann created an abstract based on the cycle: 'Water creates humans, humans create art, art creates water.'
